BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- A motorist on Interstate 75 was driving slowly on the shoulder of the highway because of a flat tire when a school bus slammed into the back of his van.
Local 10's Roger Lohse was at the scene of the collision on I-75 near Indian Trace Boulevard, and he said that the bus driver said that he didn't realize that the van was going so slowly. The impact forced the minivan into a guard rail, causing it to flip.
Four people who were in the van were injured, two seriously. One of them was airlifted, and the others were taken by ambulance to Broward General Medical Center.
As of late Monday, there was no word of any charges in connection with the wreck.
Police have not released the names of those involved in the collision.
